" You are saying that he was in the same college as you and he was only a kid at that time?" Katarina was shocked to learn more details about Samuel.

" Yes, he was not kid but a lot younger than others and he also completed the full four year degree in just six months." Mayra said witha smile.

Genevieve quickly translated for her but she staggered a bit because she didn't expect him to have such a background.

Being wealthy was one thing but being a genius and also starting business when he was only twelve? It was first time anyone had heard about it.

Such details were thoroughly hidden because Samuel didn't want public to find out about his achievements. There were few fellow classmates that he was close with but he had immense trust in them because he wouldn't carelessly divulge information about himself to just anyone.

Matilda had already retired for the night leaving girls to hang out in the living room with some wine and snacks.

It's only been few hours since they met but surprisingly they got along great. Everyone was on edge knowing that Mayra and Kayla were among the girls rumoured to be involved with him but they didn't show any hostility toward them.

Kayla and Roberta became the closest because they shared a fondness for good wine which just happen to be supplied by Samuel's stash. They even pulled Katarina in their small group urging her to drink with them.

Alana and Genevieve were more sensible just like Mayra, they enjoyed listening to his stories from past. Mayra knew a lot about him as he would regularly told her about various things as she was once his best friend whoch might not have lasted long but im return she was able to have her long cherished wish when they met again after few years.

As they talked, Elise came holding a thick book. She was about to go to bed but not before pestering Mayra for a bed time story.

It was usually the same picture book that he gifted her, she loved to read it and look at colourful illustration which always made her intrigued and happy.

Every one of them started to believe Elise's long stories after being bombarded by so many facts repeatedly.

As promised, Alana accompanied Elise upstairs leaving Genevieve alone with Mayra. She was very interested in the european beauty because she seemed to be the only one left out of the group that hesitated and was taking it slow with him.

While she was thinking more about her friends and the 'pact', unbeknownst to her others had already left them behind. Mayra wanted to know why it happened.

" So? A diner, thank you for taking care of Elise and even hosting her on the expense of your restaurant."

" It was nothing. The little angel has already won our heart with how cute she is. I never met a more happy child in my life who keeps smiling no matter what happens around her."

" Yeah, I am glad to see her enjoy herself. Although she wasn't like this before she met him. I don't know how but he had a big influence bringing her out of her shell." Mayra replied cryptically.

" Stop digging the past! It would only make things worse if they find out." Kayla in her drunken stupor warned her. They both knew better than ever how people would start treating one differently with different emotions once they have perceived knowledge of one's past.

" Was there something wrong with her?" Katarina asked seeing Mayra's expression change.

The room was silent for a second before Alana too came to join. She didn't even manage to read the first passage before Elise drifted to sleep. It might be because she ran around a lot today and didn't even have her afternoon power nap.

" We should tell them. Since everyone is so close to her, they would find it out sooner or later." Mayra said seriously to which Kayla could only give a heavy nod before returning to drink.

As soon as Mayra started speaking, the whole atmosphere of the room change to a more somber amd sad tone. By the end of it, Alana was crying while Genevieve had teary eyes as she was translating things for Katarina. Even Roberta who was heavily intoxicated sobered up listening to the tragic tale.
