HP: White Lord of Slytherin

Chapter 246: Raid Failed

Chapter 246: Raid Failed

After the Quidditch final, Hermione received the whole school's attention for two or three weeks, until the Ordinary Wizarding Examination approached, when the attention decreased slightly.

As everyone continued to study quietly, Umbridge's verdict came down.

Due to the bad influence, the Ministry of Magic conducted a thorough investigation of her entire career, and it is said that a lot of things were uncovered.

Using black magic on underage students is just one of the illegal things.

The Daily Prophet gave a headline report on this highly-anticipated figure in the wizarding world this year.

"In addition to using the Dark Arts illegally, Umbridge also sent Dementors to attack Harry Potter in Little Whinging in the summer of 1995, during which an innocent Muggle was attacked..." Draco raised his head, "Is she crazy?"

It turned out that she was the mastermind behind the Dementor attack.

Gloria didn't read the newspaper, she just asked, "It should be something that he did privately."

If it was Fudge who ordered it, the insider would have sent the letter long ago.

"Yes." Draco nodded, "To create an opportunity for Fudge to expel Potter."

Gloria smiled but said nothing.

Draco wondered, "Why would she say that?"

"Veritaserum." She had received a letter before, which mentioned how the Ministry of Magic would interrogate Umbridge. "The parents thought that she was so vicious and it might not be the first time she had done something illegal, so they jointly requested that Veritaserum be used for the interrogation."

As all parents expected, Umbridge did a lot of illegal and dirty things, which were beyond expectations.

"In addition to this, she also used forbidden spells on her colleagues, taking away the credit for their work and claiming it for herself." Draco frowned. "It said that those staff members almost rushed to the trial to beat her up."

Gloria shook her head. "It's a pity that the Dementors are not in Azkaban right now."

Umbridge definitely deserves the Dementors' hospitality.

Draco asked, "Has the position of Senior Undersecretary been confirmed?"

"Strong has the best chance." Gloria said, "Fudge has lost a confidant, and the one he likes the most. He is a little uneasy now, so after listening to Conrad's recommendation and Strong's cooperation, he can only be the deputy minister."

Draco nodded, "Then the Malfoys should prepare the gifts in advance."

Umbridge's trial made many students breathe a sigh of relief. Under such circumstances, most people almost forgot that there were still ten fugitives out there.

Two days later Hayden Strong was named senior deputy secretary.

There were only a few days left before the Ordinary Wizarding Examinations, so the professors stopped assigning homework and asked them to make the most of their time to review. Sirius spent at least half a class period consolidating his spell learning.

Until the day before the exam, Gloria was called to the principal's office.

Sirius and Professor Snape were both there when she arrived.

"All I know is that he sent a few Death Eaters to raid the house, but no one cared about Black coming to the school. The newspapers focused on the Ministry of Magic."

When Professor Snape said this, he looked at Sirius as if he wished that misfortune would happen to him immediately.

He said: "Since he couldn't find the person, he secretly looked for me once and was very angry at that time."

Gloria stepped forward. "What's wrong?"

Dumbledore looked at her, "Gloria, something has happened that you need to know about."

Sirius said: "The Death Eaters attacked my house, but they didn't know I was here temporarily as a teacher, so they were left empty-handed."

Gloria frowned tightly, "Why arrest him?"

Dumbledore stared at the table with his blue eyes, "Maybe he wants to threaten Harry with Sirius."

"For the prophecy."

Gloria thought of it immediately, otherwise Voldemort would not have needed to risk being exposed and launch a surprise attack.

"That's right." Snape lowered his eyes and said, "He wants to get the prophecy ball as soon as possible before the wizarding world knows he's back. If he misses this opportunity, it will be more difficult to get it in the future."

Dumbledore stood up. "Most importantly, he was afraid that the Ministry of Magic would know of this intention and destroy the prophecy."

It would rather be destroyed than let Voldemort get it.

"It's a pity that no one knows he's back yet." Gloria understood that without solid evidence, she couldn't ask the Ministry of Magic to destroy the ball.

Dumbledore said, "We asked you to come here because we want to tell you that Mr. and Mrs. Weasley may have to stay in your emergency house with Tonks for the near future."

"It's okay. I told you it was an emergency and I'll go straight over." Gloria asked, "Where are the other members of the Order of the Phoenix? I think they have to pay attention to their safety as well."

"Everyone has been notified. They know what to do."

"Whatever their intentions are, I am now in school and my safety is fine." Sirius said, "I will also keep an eye on Harry. Voldemort's plan will not succeed."

"I suggest that the school strengthen its defenses recently." Snape said in a deep voice: "He hasn't given up. After I told him about the situation here, he said he would think of a solution."

Headmaster Dumbledore nodded, "Thank you, Severus."

"I still have some potion to brew. Call me if you need anything." Snape didn't want to stay any longer, so he turned and left.

At this point Sirius said, "I'm not even going to Hogsmeade until the end of the school year."

The whole thing was a safe bet.

Walking out of the office, Gloria looked at Sirius, "Remember to stay in the castle as much as possible, and go to see Hagrid at most."

Sirius chuckled, "Don't worry."

The OWL exam started the next day and lasted for two weeks in total.

During this period, Sirius stayed in the castle most of the time, contacting people in the emergency room in London every day.

The last exam in History of Magic -

Harry has been feeling vaguely uneasy lately, but he hasn't had any strange dreams in these days, and there have been no unusual reports from the outside world. Everything around him is normal.

While writing the test paper, he thought that maybe the pressure from the exam was too great and that things would get better after he finished this test paper.

Gradually my thoughts flew away...

It was that familiar place again, the corridor of the Department of Mysteries.

Harry forgot about the exam, forgot where he was, and just wanted to find that room.

In a room full of shelves and balls, I subconsciously found the 97th row of shelves.

what should I do?

Harry asked himself this, and then in the silent room, he heard a sound that gave him goosebumps, accompanied by a hissing sound.

His eyes rolled and he saw a large black snake quickly leaping towards him. He unconsciously stepped back quickly and fell to the ground.

The shelf and the ball disappeared, the black snake disappeared, and Harry found himself in a dim room.

There was a person kneeling in front of me, and his rosy face, which usually wore a smile, had lost all color.

Voldemort, dressed in black robes, held his wand with the tip of it against the man's face.

"My snake can't touch that thing, you'll need to provide a little help...like trading your life for it."

"I'd rather die!"

Hearing this refusal, a sharp laugh sounded beside him, "Master, I am willing to reward her with a few Cruciatus Curses."

Harry had seen this man on the wanted poster, with long, unkempt black hair and a vicious gleam in his eyes.

"Don't be so mean Bella." Voldemort said in that terrifying voice. "You and this Miss Tonks are related. It took the Death Eaters some time to catch her."
