Chapter 152 A Selection Full of Conspiracy
Chapter 152 A Selection Full of Conspiracy
Three warriors have already been selected, so how come there is a fourth parchment?
This is the thought of all the teachers and students present.
The falling parchment was held in the hand of Headmaster Dumbledore. During a long silence, everyone guessed whose name would be this time.
Finally Dumbledore cleared his throat and said, "Harry Potter."
Everyone in the hall gasped. There was already a minor, but no one expected a fourth warrior to appear. He was a student at Hogwarts and also a minor.
Harry's mind was blank at the moment. He hadn't yet recovered from the shock of Gloria being chosen as the warrior when he heard his name being called out by the headmaster.
Hagrid kept shaking his head. "No, it can't be--"
Harry did not have the same intimidating power as Gloria, and angry accusations were heard all around him.
"He cheated!"
"Potter has no right at all!"
Even though there weren't many people who made the accusation, it was still very clear in the quiet hall. Harry blushed all the way to his neck and looked at Ron and Hermione. "I... I didn't put my name in it. We've always been together."
Ron and Hermione were equally confused.
"Harry Potter!" shouted Headmaster Dumbledore. "Come here!"
Hermione could only urge Harry, "Hurry over."
Harry felt his legs begin to fail him, and as he crossed the bench towards the Headmaster he tripped over his robes.
Dumbledore's blue eyes behind his half-circle glasses stared at him, "Well, go to the next room."
the other side--
When Gloria entered the room, the two school's chosen champions looked over, and Fleur wondered, "Where's the Hogwarts champion?"
"I am."
Krum's deep voice said, "You are a fourth grader."
"That's right." Although Furong had never spoken to her before, she had already found out Gloria's basic information. "You are not seventeen years old."
Gloria's expression showed no flaws. "I don't know either. The Goblet of Fire gave me a parchment with my name on it."
"impossible!"
Fleur's pretty face was full of disbelief as she walked over to her and saw that Gloria's name and school were indeed written on the parchment.
Krum also came over, with a hint of doubt and shock in his eyes.
"How did you do that?" Furong asked.
"I didn't do it." Gloria's eyes were sincere, as if she really knew nothing, "I didn't vote with my own name."
It was indeed not her who voted, but Golinia and Jörmungandr.
The two were speechless for a moment, and then someone else came in.
Harry saw the three people in the room and was so nervous that he didn't know where to put his hands.
Furong, not realizing he would be a warrior, asked, "What's wrong, do you want us to get out?"
"Uh..." Harry opened his mouth but couldn't say anything. He looked helplessly at Gloria who was in the same boat with him.
There was a rush of footsteps and in came the plump Ludo Bagman, shouting, "I can't believe it! Four warriors showed up, and two of them are underage!"
He looked at Gloria and Harry with surprise, then introduced them to Krum and Fleur, "Proudly introducing, Gloria Slytherin, Harry Potter, the third and fourth champions chosen by the Goblet of Fire, both students of Hogwarts."
Krum and Fleur focused their attention on Harry. Gloria was the heir of Slytherin. Although they were not happy about being chosen as the champion, they were not so opposed. But how could such a skinny boy be the fourth champion? And why did Hogwarts have two candidates!
"You've got to be kidding, Mr. Bagman." Fleur didn't believe that.
"A joke?" Bagman shook his head. "How can it be a joke? The names of these two people came out of the Goblet of Fire."
Krum frowned and looked Harry up and down.
"They haven't reached that age yet." Furong expressed her doubts, "They are still several years away from seventeen."
Bagman hummed. "That's true, but the age limit was only introduced this year. Since they were chosen by the Goblet of Fire, they must participate in the Triwizard Tournament."
The door of the room was opened again and a group of people rushed in.
Fleur immediately went to her headmaster, "Ms. Maxime, why are there two underage warriors at Hogwarts?"
Ms. Maxime walked too fast and bumped her head against the chandelier hung with candles. She did not answer the students' questions, but looked at Headmaster Dumbledore, "What's going on, Dumbledore? The two champions of Hogwarts are not only of illegal age, but also unfair in number!"
"Could it be that the age line you drew is particularly lenient towards Hogwarts students?" Karkaroff had a cold smile on his face and spoke in a cold tone, sounding like a joke.
Professor Snape stared at Harry with his deep black pupils. If the other warrior had not been a student of his college, he would have already accused Harry by now.
"Hogwarts can't have two champions. It's not fair to Beauxbatons and Durmstrang." Madam Maxime tried to suppress her anger.
Headmaster Dumbledore ignored them and put his hands on Gloria and Harry's shoulders. "Did you put your names in the Goblet of Fire?"
"No." Gloria replied softly.
Harry responded quickly, "Absolutely not, Headmaster Dumbledore!"
"They are lying!" Maxim was so angry that he subconsciously shouted in French.
"They can't cross that line," said Professor McGonagall. "That's beyond doubt."
Headmaster Dumbledore continued to ask the two, "Did you ask the senior students to vote for your names?"
Gloria and Harry still shook their heads.
Seeing that Dumbledore couldn't explain it clearly, Karkaroff simply looked at Short and Bagman and said gently: "Gentlemen, you are also fair judges. This matter is extremely unreasonable and unfair, right?"
Shorter glanced at everyone, "I'm sorry, but the charter clearly states that those chosen by the Goblet of Fire must participate in the Triwizard Tournament."
Bagman smiled broadly, as if he didn't need to do anything about it.
The principals of both schools stared at Mr. Short indignantly. Karkaroff waved his hand and said, "I don't recognize this selection result. Can we put out the Goblet of Fire again and select the warriors again? Let's do it again under everyone's attention. I believe there won't be any accidents this time."
"I'm afraid not," said Bagman. "The Goblet of Fire has gone out. It won't be lit again until the next Triwizard Tournament."
"The next Triwizard Tournament will not be attended by Durmstrang School!" Karkaroff's face was twisted with anger. "We have done so many negotiations and consultations, and this is the result! I really want to go back to school immediately without participating in the competition!"
"Don't scare or threaten anyone here, Karkaroff!" Professor Moody roared, and he walked quickly into the room from the door. "To be able to put the names of these two students into the Goblet of Fire, a powerful Confounding Charm must have been used. First, it confused Slytherin into being an adult student, and then confused the Goblet of Fire into having four schools participating, and Potter was the only student participating."
Professor Moody said firmly, "To do this, you must have extremely powerful magic power..."
The implication is that two fourth graders can't do this.
But Gloria felt that Moody's magical eyes were looking at her. After all, it was dangerous for Harry to participate in the Triwizard Tournament, but she was not sure.
