Chapter 127 The Professor's Prophecy
Chapter 127 The Professor's Prophecy
The Ministry of Magic has once again received breaking news. Old Barty's confession shocked everyone. Such an upright person would actually break the law for his son, and it was a serious crime!
Fudge met with old Batty alone, and when he came out he muttered words like "crazy" and "impossible".
But the important thing is to issue a wanted order immediately. If such a dangerous person escapes, he must be captured as soon as possible.
But they didn't know that little Batty had secretly fled abroad.
As for Bertha Jorkins, who was cast under the Forgetfulness Charm, she had been sent to St. Mungo's Hospital. The Forgetfulness Charm had a significant impact on her, and she was planning to travel abroad when she was found.
After Dumbledore learned the news, he immediately went to find Fudge. Regarding what Pettigrew had said before, he suggested to focus on the interrogation and even ask Snape to provide the best truth serum, but Fudge insisted that it was just crazy talk to escape death.
After talking with Fudge late at night, Dumbledore came to the Black mansion with a heavy face.
Sirius sat at the long table, reading today's newspaper. Old Barty used his power to save his son and let his wife die in his place, while young Barty escaped again. Pettigrew's death was probably related to him.
"What the hell?" He shook the newspaper roughly. "In the future, we will check the prisoners to be executed again and again to prevent substitution from happening again. That's all?"
He became even more irritable as he read out Fudge's useless nonsense in the newspaper.
Soon I heard footsteps and looked up to find it was Dumbledore.
"What's going on?" Sirius quickly put down the newspaper. "What did Fudge say?"
"Not very good." Dumbledore shook his head. "He didn't want to believe any information about Voldemort being alive. He thought Barty Jr. just believed Pettigrew's crazy talk."
Sirius slammed the table in anger, "What a weakling! Even if it's just mad talk, we should investigate it. He's just afraid of Voldemort!"
"He has changed. He is no longer the Fudge who was in office when he first took office." Dumbledore lamented the fickleness of people's hearts, and was even more grateful for his original choice to stay away from the vortex of power. "Pettydew may really know some news, but it's a pity that we can't know it now."
Sirius paced back and forth anxiously, "Can the Ministry of Magic catch someone? They couldn't find me in the first place."
Dumbledore said softly, "I'm afraid we can only wait for news from the Ministry of Magic. Although Fudge doesn't believe Pettigrew's words, he is actively contacting the Ministries of Magic of other countries to capture Barty Jr."
When Voldemort disappeared, the Ministry of Magic searched almost every corner of Britain but couldn't find any trace of him, so many people believed that he was dead.
But if Barty knew something, he would most likely not look for Voldemort in Britain, but abroad.
But the world is so big, the only way to capture him is for the Ministries of Magic of many countries to work together.

Not long after the news of Pettigrew's murder came out, the report of Barty Sr.'s confession shocked the wizarding world. After more than ten years, a Death Eater escaped.
These things did not affect the students of Hogwarts for the time being. The June exam week had arrived and the entire castle was in silence. There were almost no students wandering around outside. All of them focused their attention on their books.
Harry was exhausted after a few days, and finally it was time for his last exam, Divination.
Professor Trelawney met them one by one. Harry, who had been taught that he would encounter all kinds of ominous things during the school year, felt a little sick to his stomach.
When Ron came out of the exam after making up his story, Harry was the last student.
The day had turned hot, and it was more stuffy here than ever. The professor had drawn the curtains, and the fireplace was burning, filling the room with a fragrant aroma.
Harry walked around the haphazardly placed tables and chairs and sat down opposite Professor Trelawney.
"You're here," Trelawney asked in her usual ethereal voice. "Tell me, what did you see in the crystal ball?"
However, there was only swirling white mist in the crystal ball. Harry recalled that when Ron came out, he made up a bunch of nonsense to deal with the exam.
Thinking of this, he cleared his throat, "Uh... saw... a dark shadow."
When Professor Trelawney asked him questions, Harry spoke whatever came into his mind immediately, without caring about the grades.
After a long time, the professor finally let him go and went back.
Harry felt relieved that the last exam was finally over. He packed up his things and just turned around when a loud and sharp voice sounded behind him.
"finally!"
He turned around without knowing why, and saw Professor Trelawney sitting upright, his hands clenched on the armrests. His eyes, magnified by thick lenses, stared straight ahead with a strange expression, and he spoke quickly: "The Dark Lord has lived alone for thirteen years... A loyal servant broke free from his chains and found him... The Dark Lord will come back with the help of his servants... More powerful and more terrifying... To deal with his chosen enemy... The boy who survived the catastrophe is destined to lose what he gains... But the glory born in the darkness will change everything and turn the world upside down!"
The last word was pronounced so loudly that Harry almost covered his ears, and the Professor closed his mouth and lowered his head, making an odd grunting sound.
Then she looked up as if she had just woken up, "Oh, you haven't left yet."
Harry stared at her blankly, and Professor Trelawney wondered, "What's wrong?"
"Professor, you just said something very strange."
"Did I speak?" the professor frowned.
"You said the Dark Lord would come back," Harry repeated simply.
The professor was shocked. "The man whose name must not be mentioned? How could I possibly mention him and make a comeback..."
"You said that very loudly," Harry emphasized.
"I think you are confused because of the exam!" Professor Trelawney scolded.
Harry was scolded by her and left quickly. Did he hear a real prophecy or was it just nonsense from the professor?
But those words seemed to be imprinted in his mind, and he remembered them word for word, especially the one about the boy who lived, who was destined to lose what he gained...
There was almost no one in the Gryffindor common room. Hermione and Ron were there. Ron was talking about his summer vacation plans. When he saw Harry come in, he waved to him.
Seeing his friend's heavy face, Ron comforted him, "You didn't see anything in the crystal ball? It doesn't matter. Just predict the worst. Professor Trelawney will give you a passing grade."
Harry looked at his two friends, "It's not that, it's that Professor Trelawney said something very strange."
Hermione rolled her eyes unceremoniously, "Hasn't she been like this all school year, saying all kinds of weird things to scare people, but in fact she's just lying to us!"
"Are you saying that something bad will happen to you again?" Ron stuffed a snack into his mouth. "To be honest, there are at least eight out of ten predictions like this."
"It's different this time." Harry put down his things. "The professor seemed to have made a prophecy, but she didn't know it at all. She also said that I was confused during the exam. She never said that."
Hermione put down the book in her hand and asked curiously, "What did she say?"
Harry repeated what Professor Trelawney had said. Hermione and Ron were shocked. Such words made people worried.
"No, we have to go find Headmaster Dumbledore." Although Hermione hated Professor Trelawney, she could tell there was something fishy in what he said.
Ron coughed and covered his mouth, swallowing hard before saying, "Although those words sound scary, there's no need to find the principal, right?"
Hermione was firm in her attitude and ignored Ron's words, pulling Harry towards the headmaster's office.
