Rebirth: I Became a Maggot 2

Chapter 189 The Red Rat

Chapter 189 The Red Rat

I was utterly disgusted. What were they trying to do? These two beasts, how could they do such a thing? It's simply indecent.

Before I could even process what was happening inside, the little white mouse behind me spoke up: "So, what they're eating isn't human flesh, it's human juice! So, humans are like straws, that's how you get to the juice inside!"

Holy crap, a straw my ass! Is that even a straw? I almost jumped up and strangled that lab rat. You're the straw, your whole family are straws, your ancestors for eighteen generations are straws.

What the lab rat said made me so angry! This is absolutely outrageous! What kind of straw is this? How could it possibly be a straw?

"Humans are amazing! Their bodies even have a straw. Although it was resisting, its essence was eventually sucked away. I wonder if it will get sick," Dafu said worriedly from the side.

"Damn it, what are you worried about? Too much of it will make you sick or even kill you, but once every few days or once a day is fine. Besides, who told you that it was a straw? What kind of straw is that?"

I was going crazy. If I kept dwelling on this, I was going to go insane. So I quickly said, "Okay, let's stop worrying about this. Let's get out of here quickly. Your friends are waiting for us to rescue them."

When I brought up the issue, the white mouse suddenly seemed to realize something and said, "Yes, I still need to save my friends. Let's go, let's hurry."

After saying that, he ran out of the alley to find the Pure Love Bar.

But what do you mean by "suddenly realized"? Did you forget about the part about saving your friend?

Once we came out and were bathed in sunlight, we felt much better. That alleyway was really unpleasant. After coming out, we followed the advice of my cousin, the guinea pig.

We arrived at the back door of the Pure Love Bar. Because it was daytime, it was unusually quiet. Led by the guinea pig, we ended up in a small alley behind the bar.

However, this alley is much larger than the previous one. Not only is it larger, but it also has such high-end things as trash cans.

You know, there are usually very few trash cans in alleys, which is why I said this place is high-end.

Generally, trash cans are only found in crowded places, while trash bins are found in less crowded places. Trash cans are for pedestrians to throw away their trash, while trash bins are just big boxes that can hold a lot of trash.

After we arrived, the white mouse crawled inside again. After crawling for a while, another wall appeared, but this wall was different from the others.

Because there were words on the wall, four big characters that read "Pawnshop No. 6".

Holy crap, what the hell is this? A pawn shop? Rats running a pawn shop?

The words were written crookedly, like something a naughty elementary school student would write for fun. There were other words around them, such as "Peng Rui, I like you," "Zhang Jun, you bastard," and "Zhang Hui, you idiot." They didn't even know how to write the word "egg," so they just drew an egg.

Damn, this is typical elementary school student scribbling on chalk here. I used to do the same thing when I was in elementary school, so I didn't think there was any intelligence here.

But what happened next was beyond my expectations. As soon as we walked in, a small hole slowly opened in the wall, just big enough for a mouse's head to stick out.

Then a red mouse, speaking in a sweet girl's voice, said, "Esteemed guest, how can I help you?"

I was completely dumbfounded when I heard that sound. How could it sound so pleasant? Aren't mice supposed to squeak? Why does it sound different when it becomes an animal?

Could there be something wrong with my hearing? But since they've asked, we can't just stay silent, so the little mouse said, "I want to know where my friend is."

"Oh? The whereabouts of your friend? Let me guess, you're looking for the whereabouts of a snake, a dog, and a bird, right?" the red rat asked casually.

Hearing this, I immediately stopped worrying. How did I know that using a mouse? That's fucking amazing!

"Yes, yes, that's my friend! I want to know where my friend is locked up right now? I want to go and rescue them!" The white mouse was unusually happy and hurriedly shouted to the red mouse inside.

"So, did you bring the items for the exchange?" The red mouse didn't rush to answer our question, but instead stretched out its little paw to ask.

"Exchange...exchange items? What exchange items?" the white mouse asked curiously.

"It's about exchanging information. This is a pawnshop, a business, not an international aid and relief center. So if you don't have anything to exchange, then I can't give you information." The red rat clearly didn't want to say anything more, and after explaining, it tried to close the door.

"Hey, wait a minute..." I shouted hurriedly. This was our only chance. I was still hoping to rescue Mengmeng and cure her poison, so I quickly stopped him, hoping there was still room for maneuver.

"Oh? One little fly, or rather, two? If you give me these two pet flies, I might consider giving you the information," the red mouse said gently.

He's a businessman after all; his attitude changes immediately when he sees something he likes.

But what's with the pet thing? How could I possibly be a lab rat's pet?

"No, no, you've misunderstood. We're just friends," the white mouse quickly explained.

"Oh? Making friends with pets, you're really trendy. Humans can be friends with animals too, but it's not about eating them or killing them. That's just a saying." The red rat said in a sarcastic tone.

“But…but we’re really friends. I can’t trade them to you,” the white mouse said firmly, looking inside.

"Then there's nothing we can do." The red mouse said, and was about to close the door.

"Wait, what can I exchange for that intelligence? How about a piece of cheese?" I hurriedly called out from the air.

"Oh? You have that? Why didn't you say so earlier? Okay." The red mouse said happily.

“We don’t have it now, but we can go look for it, and we can trade it once we find it,” I quickly said.

"Oh? Go looking for it now? Interesting. So where are you planning to look? If you can't find it, your friend will be killed." The red rat said with a mocking smile.

"There are bars and restaurants all around here, I don't believe I can't find one," I replied with certainty.
