Born Into Villain's Family: I Have a 200\% Rebate System

Chapter 606 - 607: Drug Him

Chapter 606 - 607: Drug Him

There was no playfulness left in his tone, only a firm ultimatum.

That was what finally made Chloe back off.

Or at least, that was what he thought.

Relief washed over him, and for a while, things seemed to return to normal.

He resumed his quiet routine, spending time with Jacqueline.

’This is enough... this is what I want.’

But peace never lasted long.

One day, someone secretly took photos of them during a private outing.

By the time Theodore realized it, the images had already spread across the internet like wildfire.

At first, he thought it wouldn’t matter.

’If the comments are positive, we can just go public...’

But he had underestimated the cruelty of the crowd.

The comments were vicious.

"They don’t match."

"She doesn’t deserve him."

"He’s not good enough for her either."

Some mocked Jacqueline’s background, others attacked Theodore’s career, saying his rising fame was nothing compared to her family’s status.

The two of them were labeled as the "worst couple" in the entire entertainment industry.

As Theodore scrolled through the comments, his grip on the phone tightened, his knuckles turning pale.

A suffocating anger rose in his chest, sharp and uncontrollable.

’How dare they...?’

For a moment, a violent urge flickered through his mind, dark and dangerous, before he forced himself to stop.

He shut his eyes, exhaling slowly, trying to suppress the storm inside him.

.............

Meanwhile, Lucas’ situation was spiraling in an entirely different direction.

Kayla... no, at this point, she felt more like a persistent shadow... still hadn’t given up.

Even after Lucas had filed complaints and arranged for restrictions, she continued to appear.

Sometimes she would show up with teary eyes, her voice trembling as she begged, "My siblings need money for college... please help me."

Other times, she would clutch her arms as if in pain, whispering, "My parents are abusive... I have nowhere else to go..."

Lucas began to feel a strange unease.

’Why does she act like we’re close...?’

Her familiarity didn’t make sense. It was unsettling.

But while Lucas was growing frustrated, Kayla was growing desperate.

All the methods she had tried, every plan, every attempt, had failed.

And now, she had one last option. The system’s final instruction.

Drug him.

The thought made her hesitate, her fingers trembling slightly as she stood alone, the dim light flickering above her.

’If I don’t do this... I’ll lose everything.’

Swallowing her fear, she finally made up her mind.

........

The opportunity came sooner than expected.

Lucas had a meeting at his regular restaurant, the same place where Kayla worked part-time as a waitress.

Kayla moved carefully, her hands steady despite the storm inside her.

When no one was watching, she crushed the pills and mixed them into his drink.

Her heart pounded loudly in her ears.

’This is it...’

Once it was done, she carried the tray to his private room, placing it down with practiced ease.

Then she waited. Minutes passed like hours.

Finally, Lucas stepped out.

His movements were unsteady, his vision slightly blurred. He looked... drunk.

Kayla watched from a distance as he headed toward the elevator.

Her pulse quickened, and she hurried after him.

But just as she reached it, the doors closed.

"Damn it..." she muttered under her breath.

She quickly checked the indicator. 15th floor.

’That’s where he’s going... just as planned.’

Without wasting another second, she pressed the button and entered the next elevator.

Meanwhile, Lucas, feeling a strange heat spreading through his body, leaned against the wall on the ground floor. His thoughts were hazy, his control slipping.

’Something’s not right...’

With trembling fingers, he pulled out his phone and called Jules. In fact, he didn’t plan to go to the 15th floor and had clicked it by accident.

As soon as the call connected, his voice softened, almost whining, "I don’t feel well..."

He explained everything in broken sentences, his usual composure completely gone.

Jules arrived shortly after.

The moment she saw him, disheveled and unsteady, she couldn’t help but laugh lightly. "You look terrible. We need to get you to a doctor."

Lucas shook his head stubbornly and pulled her into a loose embrace. "We’re already together... why not just try it?"

His tone was shameless, almost teasing despite his condition.

Jules’ cheeks flushed instantly. "You really know how to take advantage of a situation," she muttered, half-annoyed, half-embarrassed.

............

The next morning, sunlight filtered softly into the room.

Lucas stirred awake, his mind still slightly foggy, but a satisfied smile slowly spread across his face.

’So... it finally happened.’

He leaned closer to Jules and kissed her deeply, clearly pleased with himself.

But before he could continue, she pushed him away, her face still tinged with red. "You’re misunderstanding. Nothing happened."

Lucas blinked, stunned. "What?"

She cleared her throat awkwardly. "We’re waiting until marriage."

For a moment, he just stared at her, then let out a long sigh, leaning against her shoulder. "You’re really harsh..."

Even so, there was no real complaint in his voice... only a strange sense of comfort.

Later, as he prepared to head out, his phone suddenly rang.

An unknown number. He frowned slightly.

’Who could it be...?’

Without thinking much, he answered. For a brief second, there was silence.

Then a familiar voice came through, filled with unsettling excitement.

"Lucas... it’s me."

It was Kayla.

Her tone was almost trembling with anticipation as she continued, "I wanted to talk about last night..."

"Last night?"

Lucas frowned slightly. "What about last night?"

On the other end of the call, Kayla let out a soft chuckle.

"You don’t need to pretend," she said, her tone almost teasing.

"We already spent the whole night together. Now it’s time for you to take responsibility. You should be man enough to admit it."

Before she could continue, Lucas cut her off, his voice turning cold and sharp. "What kind of ’last night’ are you talking about? I didn’t do anything with you."

His gaze instinctively shifted toward Jules, who was standing beside him.

’She was with me the whole time...’

He frowned deeper. ’I saw her myself. There’s no way I could have been in two places at once.’

On the other side, Kayla’s confidence faltered slightly. "Are you saying... you didn’t spend the night with me?" she asked, her voice tightening. "You left, but before that..."

Lucas interrupted again, his tone firm and unwavering. "I was with my fiancée the entire night."

There was a brief pause.

Jules stepped forward then, her voice calm but carrying an undeniable authority. "I personally picked him up from the hotel last night," she said clearly.

Kayla froze, her breath catching as the realization slowly began to sink in. For a long moment, she said nothing.

"...Then who was it?" she finally whispered, her voice trembling slightly. "Who was the one with me?"

Lucas shrugged lightly, though his expression remained indifferent.

"How would I know?" he replied. "If something happened, you should report it properly. I don’t have time for this."

He moved the phone slightly, ready to hang up.

But before he could, Kayla’s voice suddenly rose, filled with panic. "Wait! Don’t hang up!"

Her breathing grew uneven as she hurriedly added, "Help me! You’re partly responsible for this situation!"

Lucas’ expression darkened, irritation flickering across his face.

Before he could respond, Jules gently took the phone from his hand.

Her demeanor shifted instantly. The softness from before disappeared, replaced by a composed, almost chilling calm.

’Enough is enough...’

She had tolerated Kayla’s presence until now, trusting that Lucas could handle it himself. But this, this had crossed a line.

Holding the phone steadily, she spoke, her voice low yet firm, "Listen carefully."

There was no hesitation in her tone.

"I’ve been ignoring you because I believed my fiancé could deal with you," she continued. "But if you keep causing trouble for him, I will personally step in."

"He has made it clear he has nothing to do with you," she added. "Take the hint and stay away from him."

A brief pause followed, the tension thick enough to suffocate.

"Otherwise," she finished calmly, "I will come find you myself. And trust me... you won’t like what happens next."

On the other end, Kayla went completely silent.

"...I understand," she finally muttered weakly.

Jules didn’t respond further. She simply ended the call.

Lucas looked at her, then slowly raised his thumb with a faint smile. "That was impressive."

Jules rolled her eyes, though a small smile tugged at her lips. "You really don’t know how to stop flattering me, do you?"

Lucas chuckled softly, the tension in his shoulders easing.

From that day onward, Kayla stopped appearing.

For a while, Lucas finally felt a sense of relief, as if a persistent shadow had finally disappeared.

’At last... it’s over.’

Or so he thought. Days passed quietly, but then something new began to surface.

At first, it was just small whispers online, scattered posts, vague discussions. Lucas didn’t pay much attention.

"She’s not worth it," he muttered to himself, scrolling past them dismissively.
