Chapter 117 Adolf's Speech
Chapter 117 Adolf's Speech
Adolf led Diana through a small door next to the warehouse.
As Adolf turned on all the lights in the warehouse, the scene before her made Diana's mouth drop open.
In the center of the warehouse stood a single-rotor aircraft! Its metallic shell and streamlined fuselage gave it a unique aesthetic appeal.
Diana ran over and circled the plane a few times, looking at Adolf with longing.
"Master! I want to fly the plane!"
Adolf shook his head helplessly.
"Anna! This plane hasn't been put into operation yet; it can only fly theoretically right now. We'll definitely let you try it out when the technology is more advanced!"
Diana looked regretful, her eyes seemingly glued to it.
"Anna, can you store your spatial treasures in these things?"
Transporting these large items via teleportation would be quite troublesome.
Diana raised her hand and waved it.
"Sure! The space inside the bracelet is quite large!"
As she spoke, Diana put the several-meter-long monoplane into her bracelet, and then put away many of the devices in the warehouse, leaving the warehouse empty in an instant.
Then, Adolf led Diana to collect things from warehouse after warehouse. Some of the warehouses contained various types of vehicles: coal-fired steam vehicles, oil-fired vehicles, and vehicles that ran by consuming magic crystals.
Diana couldn't wait to get into a cool-looking car and try it out, only to discover, to her dismay, that her short legs couldn't reach the accelerator!
A huge steam train was also discovered during the trip.
Diana had a strange feeling that this wasn't another world.
There were many things inside the 'research institute', and it took quite a while to collect all the important items from the warehouse and building into the bracelet.
There are still many things that need to be brought over from the academy, which is obviously a considerable undertaking.
The two arrived at the teaching building first, where many teachers, students and staff had already gathered, and many people saw Diana.
"Isn't that Diana?! Why is she back again?!"
"I've heard she might be the Demon King!"
"What nonsense are you talking about? If she were really the Demon King, His Majesty would have already sent troops to punish her. Would he still let her continue to be the lord of Oliver City?"
"I think so too. Diana is so cute, how could she possibly be a demon king!"
Adolf raised his hand to signal everyone to be quiet.
"What I'm about to announce may be the biggest change in the history of Austin College!"
Upon hearing this, many people became inexplicably nervous.
"After discussions with the academicians, we have decided that Austin College will be closed indefinitely!"
Instantly, everyone was in an uproar, not understanding why the dean was doing this.
Adolf pressed his hand down.
"Although Austin Academy has suspended classes, it doesn't mean the academy is gone. We will invest all our resources to build an Austin Academy branch in Oliver City!"
"Anyone who wants to continue developing their career at the academy is welcome to go there, and all benefits will remain the same."
One of the instructors raised his hand, and Adolf gestured for him to speak.
"Dean! Is everything really alright in Oliver City? Can humans and demons truly live in harmony? Or could it be, as the church says, a conspiracy by the Demon King!"
Everyone agreed with the instructor's words.
Adolf nodded to the instructor who had spoken.
“It’s normal for this teacher to have concerns. After all, the church has such a great influence, and I, Mrs. Ado, am but a nobody. A promise is nothing.”
"But what I want to say is, can the church change the current situation? Have they ever rescued those trafficked children? They have only given everyone a little hope, a glimmer of hope to become superior people, but is that really hope?"
“I admit that the academy hasn’t changed anything, and those who suffer are still suffering.”
"But! Now everything is different. Diana has appeared! Although she is not a hero, she ended the war, truly ended the war. She also has a heart that pities all living beings. You all know what happened recently. If there really is a savior, then Diana is the savior of this era!"
Diana blushed slightly, touched her nose, and said, "I'm not that outstanding~"
"Oliver City has changed dramatically. If you could visit in person, you would surely be amazed by its harmony..."
Adolf went on and on, making all sorts of predictions for the future, leaving everyone stunned.
It must be said that Adolf's heartfelt speech moved many people, and most of them chose to go. Those who did not choose to go were mostly from noble families. Many nobles still looked down on commoners, and such a place held no appeal for them.
Adolf didn't care, as long as the researchers were willing to go.
Adolf promised them that all their research results could be published and they would become figures who would be remembered for all time. All the researchers were eager to go there right now, and they finally got to see this day!
These researchers are all great; they have dedicated almost their entire lives to research. They don't care about the treatment they receive; this honor is what they yearn for.
Once everything was arranged, Diana began sending those who were willing to go there.
By the time everyone had been teleported over, it was nearly afternoon.
The two walked through the empty campus, collecting materials and items from place to place.
"Anna, the academy has now gone all in, betting everything on you. You must not let profit and power cloud your judgment. The future of countless people is in your hands!"
Diana shrugged.
“Master, you know me, I’m not interested in these things.”
"You guys handle these troublesome things, I'll just focus on fighting!"
As Diana spoke, she even made a gesture to show off her muscles, though her chubby arms didn't have a single muscle in them.
Adolf couldn't help but laugh.
"Haha, I'm relieved to see you like this!"
The two arrived at the farm within the academy, and before they even entered Candice's courtyard, Diana called out.
"Aunt Candice, I've come to see you!"
Candice's cheerful laughter echoed from the kitchen as she came out, wiping her hands.
"I dare not call her aunt anymore, she's almost 100 years old."
"No way! You're so young now, I'd love to call you 'older sister'!"
Candice was very happy and squatted down to pinch Diana's cheek.
"You're so sweet-talking. Let me see if Anna has grown taller."
Candice gestured and pretended to put on a stern face.
"Has it been because you haven't been eating properly? You haven't grown any taller!"
Diana was also helpless. She ate a lot every day, and she was also puzzled as to why she hadn't grown taller, even though Jenny was a little taller than her.
"No! This is the one thing I won't forget!"
Candice and Adolph laughed again.
"Okay! Then I'll cook more delicious food. I wish Cora and the others were here; it's been so long since I've seen them!"
"That's easy, I'll go and call them over right now!"
With that, Diana vanished from the spot.
