Chapter 492: Aiding the Weak Against Injustice
"Let go of me!! Ugh—"
The woman’s scream was all too familiar, causing Thea Shaw and Zia Sutton to turn their heads.
Zia, a little tipsy but still somewhat cognizant, immediately asked loudly, "Who is it?"
The screaming inside the car suddenly quieted, but Thea sensed it was because someone had forcibly covered her mouth.
Zia, more impulsive than usual, rushed over to knock on the car window, "Hey, hey, hey... Do you need any help?"
A man’s gruff voice immediately bellowed from inside, "Get lost!"
As soon as he finished speaking, something happened. He let out a cry of pain, followed by the woman screaming, "Help, please call the police, he wants to rape me!!"
In an instant, Zia’s eyes widened, and she pounded the window even more fiercely, "Get out here now! In broad daylight, you’re forcing yourself on an innocent woman!!"
Thea looked up at the sky. If not for the streetlights, they wouldn’t even see a thing.
The car doors were tightly shut, but with Zia frantically knocking, the people inside couldn’t ignore them.
The commotion drew attention from others. Soon, a few people in racing suits gathered, eyeing Zia warily, "What are you doing? Mind your own business!"
Their words revealed they knew what was happening inside the car.
And they were accomplices.
Thea stood behind them, with a mask on, not attracting much attention.
However, under the moonlight, her refined features seemed to have a faint silver glow.
She stood quietly watching, not stopping Zia’s actions. Seeing these people surround them, her eyes gleamed with interest.
Zia, a bit headstrong, was more temperamental than usual, "Didn’t you hear someone inside calling for help?"
The tallest youth approached, placing a heavy hand on Zia’s shoulder with a veiled threat in his voice, "I said, mind your own business, or else you’ll be sorry."
The moment he finished speaking, Thea raised her phone, "I’ve called the police."
The 110 call screen was clearly displayed on her phone.
Their expressions changed instantly.
Thea smiled, "Who’s leaving now? I won’t let you leave."
Perhaps sensing trouble, the tightly shut car door finally opened. A man in a crumpled black sweatshirt stepped out, the woman’s painful sobbing echoed from inside.
The man stepped out, glaring at Zia, "Where the hell are you from? How dare you interfere with my business? Do you believe I can make sure you won’t leave Fenmore!"
Zia widened her eyes, "I’m so scared!"
The youth who had threatened Zia earlier pointed at Thea, "Young Master Seymour, that woman said she’s called the police."
At the mention of it, Young Master Seymour’s face changed.
He stormed over to Thea, exuding hostility, but Thea lazily showed him her phone displaying the 110 call, "I’m still on the line. What do you want to do in front of our police officers?"
Young Master Seymour: "..."
He stared at the call screen, seemingly able to hear the urgent inquiries from the officers on the other end. In the next second, he smiled and attempted to snatch Thea’s phone to throw it away.
Just as he reached out, Thea deftly dodged.
Then, like lightning, she swung her leg and struck Young Master Seymour’s knee.
He buckled, forced to kneel.
