The Demon Emperor was Saint Emperor

Chapter 140: You Need to Put On Some More Weight

Chapter 140: You Need to Put On Some More Weight

"Don’t worry, I’ll repay you early, it won’t affect your evening closeness."

Catherine herself lacks a spirit of self-sacrifice but she isn’t the kind to ruin others’ happiness; she does have that bit of social conscience.

"Then if you lend someone, shouldn’t you pay some interest? Like a kiss or something."

Lynn took advantage of Catherine’s words and pointed to his right cheek.

"Eh... I’m helping you train your wife, be glad I’m not asking for benefits, let alone paying extra!"

Hearing Lynn’s words, Catherine was immediately indignant, though given Lynn’s kindness to her, whatever help she offers him is warranted, but how could she be working for him and still paying extra?

"Well, you can ask for a benefit, like letting me kiss you or something."

Lynn continued to take advantage of Catherine’s words, but this time he pointed at Catherine’s pretty face.

"Let’s forget that, I might as well work for free for you. Anything that doesn’t involve any shady dealings, you can ask me anytime, I’ll be happy to help if I can."

Catherine shook her head like a rattle drum upon hearing this; she has no interest in love affairs, won’t fall as easily as Xiya and Vivian, and certainly not give herself freely like Helena and Natasha.

Though she can’t guarantee to never have a man in her future, at least for now she has no such plans.

If she indeed loses her mind in the future and yearns for romance, she might as well settle for Lynn. She feels nothing for other men, so why not choose one with the best conditions in all aspects?

"Alright, alright, I’ll look for you whenever I need to."

Lynn and Catherine bickered for a while, with Vivian curiously watching on; she glanced at the time and exclaimed, then dragged Catherine to the kitchen.

Vivian has been endeavoring to practice her culinary skills to become a good wife in the future, but Xiya’s tastes are too monotonous, and Little Youli and Little Yuna only like sweets, leaving her experimenting only on cats.

But after a few trials, Little Flower refused to eat her new creations, while Gugi ate everything indiscriminately, making it no reference point.

Catherine, being human, isn’t picky with food, nor does she have any dietary restrictions, making her a perfect taster.

Vivian pulled a strong volunteer to prepare dinner, while on the other side, Xiya settled Little Yuna, pondering whether to give the kids more vegetables.

They’re living the good life now, indulging in little cakes and candied fruits, even having royal banquets from time to time. But they must maintain a balanced diet; though she herself has the most unbalanced one.

Later that evening, the Lynn household gathered together to enjoy dinner; Catherine sat at her place, incessantly belching, making one wonder if she’s been sneaking in snacks somewhere.

During dinner, the two little ones ate obediently, Xiya still favored leafy greens itself, while Vivian was satisfied with her experimental results; only Catherine sat unmoving, watching the others eat.

"Catherine, is Vivian’s cooking not to your liking?"

Seeing the beautiful mentor opposite rub her belly with a pained expression, Lynn sneaked a glance at the exuberant Vivian before pretending to ask.

"You’re asking even though you know; isn’t one dish on your table lacking my contribution, ugh~~"

As Catherine spoke, she shivered, feeling that the food Vivian had coaxingly and trickily fed her had nearly reached her throat; just sitting made her uncomfortable, and yet Lynn was still deliberately teasing.

"Let her rest for a while, once she’s digested a bit, a few rounds of Basic Swordsmanship in the yard will make her comfortable."

Xiya, seeing Catherine’s discomfort, actually felt quite empathetic; she’d only been through Lynn’s gates a few times, yet they’d made her stomach big. The worst thing was, the man of the house wasn’t taking responsibility and instead was mocking her; truly wicked.

"Don’t just focus on Catherine; you shouldn’t be picky either. Eat more meat; only then will you grow more flesh; see how skinny you are now, you need some good nourishment."

Lynn said this, sharing three-quarters of the meat from his plate with Xiya, seeing her frown at the meat.

It wasn’t that she was deliberately picky; Elf Race dietary habits are like this, with few elves loving meat, most preferring vegetarian dishes; she’s just an ordinary member among thousands of elves.

"Why stunned? Does just looking at it make you gain flesh? Eat, you’ll look even better with a bit more meat, I’m not lying."

Seeing Xiya frowning at the meat in her dish without moving, Lynn couldn’t help but urge her.

He wasn’t deliberately bullying Xiya, but compared to others, Xiya was indeed too skinny, her waist so slender it seemed a strong wind could blow her away.

Lynn wasn’t completely ignorant of Elf Race habits; they’re omnivorous like humans, capable of eating meat; there are typical examples who exclusively eat meat without vegetables.

Previously during gatherings and palace feasts, Xiya had tried some meat, though mostly sampling, filling up primarily with vegetables and fruits.

Eating meat wasn’t taboo for Xiya or for Elf Race; they deeply love nature, but likewise do not oppose others planting, harvesting, husbandry, slaughter, or limited forestry and hunting; they see these as part of nature too, as intelligent beings are part of life’s cycle.

"Does Lynn not find my current figure satisfactory?"

Xiya said this, deliberately standing up and turning around to showcase her slender and long frame; though indeed somewhat thin, nutritionally she’s not lacking where it counts; she may not bear the proud prominence of Catherine, but she’s no lesser than a normally developing Human Race young beauty like Vivian.

"It’s not that I’m dissatisfied, but I think it could be even better."

Lynn admitted Xiya’s figure itself was fantastic, but as he put it, there’s still a room for a little improvement...

Like the combination of the white stockings and leg bands he sent her, Xiya’s legs were more elongated, yet lacked sufficient plumpness.

The saying goes, "White silk bound flesh; hard even for gods to save; with a wife like this at home, wolfberry is of no remedy..."

Ahem.

Lynn swore under the light; he wasn’t doing this just for personal desires to have Xiya gain flesh; the key was as an Elf Archer, Xiya needed enough muscle strength.

What’s the point in shooting accurately? You also need to shoot powerfully and far...

Two to three hundred years, she was at her prime growth stage.
