Chapter 382 Confused and bewildered

After washing the dishes, Xuanmei returned to the living room. Yunya had already wiped the table and swept the floor.

At noon, they went grocery shopping and cooked together. After the meal was ready, they waited for Xuan's mother and Xuan Ran to come home for lunch.

When Xuanran returned for dinner, she noticed that her second sister and her friend seemed different; they seemed closer than before.

Xuan's mother watched them pass food to each other without paying any attention, taking it as just a normal way for good friends to get along.

After they finished eating, Xuanran went to school. Xuan's mother also went to work. Xuanmei told her mother that she would be going back to her dormitory soon and would come back next holiday.

Xuan's mother nodded to indicate that she understood. She also told her to be careful and take care of herself while she was out. Then she picked up her cloth bag and went to work.

After watching her younger brother and mother leave, Xuanmei packed a few spring clothes and went back to the dormitory with Yunya.

The two chatted and laughed on the way, just like when they arrived, as if nothing had happened and nothing had changed.

Yunya knew that their friendship was different now. They were closer and cared for each other more than before.
