Chapter 117 First Aid

Liu Rushi couldn't understand why Wang Wenzhou made her wash her hands with wine. Seeing that Wang Wenzhou was pale and sweating profusely, she felt sorry for him and obediently washed her hands with wine.

"Xiao Liang, have those people outside line up and bring their bowls in!" Wang Wenzhou instructed.

Old Wu, the constable, was the first to enter the house carrying a bowl. Sheng Liang had gone out to call for help, but the people outside were fighting, and few listened to him. Only a few constables and a few scattered people in front of the stadium were called in by Sheng Liang.

Upon hearing that it was Lord Wang who gave the order, they did not understand why they had to drip their blood into the bowl, but they still did as he instructed.

Wang Wenzhou took a few drops of blood from Sheng Lan's wound and dripped them into a bowl. The blood from both of them coagulated and settled, indicating that a transfusion was not possible. As long as the blood from both people did not coagulate, even if their blood types were different, there would be no problem with the transfusion.

"You get out, next!" Wang Wenzhou said.

Soon, another person came in carrying a bowl.

"You stay!"

Wang Wenzhou quickly identified several people who could donate blood to Sheng Lan.

"Are you guys sick?" Wang Wenzhou asked, looking at the group.

"Huh?" The men, holding their bowls, looked completely bewildered. "Lord Wang, what do you mean by this?"

"Are you sick or not?" Wang Wenzhou asked anxiously, his voice rapid.

"I'm not sick!"

"Sir, I can eat eight steamed buns in one sitting!"

"Alright! Those who aren't sick can stay, and those who are sick, get out of here!" Wang Wenzhou was afraid that the people receiving blood transfusions might have infectious diseases and infect Sheng Lan. Unfortunately, the Ming Dynasty lacked the medical facilities for examination, so they could only rely on luck.

"Xiao Liang, is the bamboo strip ready?" Wang Wenzhou asked.

"Big brother, it's done!" Sheng Liang quickly took out a few thin bamboo sticks.

"Find something to hollow out the bamboo, then wash it with wine," Wang Wenzhou instructed.

"Okay!" Sheng Liang quickly did so.

"Here you go!" Sheng Liang handed the thin bamboo stick to Wang Wenzhou.

Wang Wenzhou used a knife to sharpen both ends of the thin bamboo.

"You! Come here!" Wang Wenzhou pointed at a person who was about to receive a blood transfusion.

The man quickly walked over.

"Give me your hand!" Wang Wenzhou said.

Wang Wenzhou rolled up the man's sleeve, took a sharpened bamboo stick, and tried to pierce his vein.

"Damn it!" Wang Wenzhou exclaimed repeatedly, "How can this be so difficult! I can't even get it in!"

The man was in so much pain that his face was covered in sweat. He was too embarrassed to speak. He was grateful to Lord Wang and, although he didn't understand what Lord Wang wanted to do, he still obediently cooperated.

"Brother, what do you want to do?" Sheng Liang asked.

"Stick the bamboo into the vein and give Lanlan a blood transfusion to save her!" Wang Wenzhou said.

Upon hearing that his uncle was trying to save his aunt, Sheng Liang grabbed the man's arm and said, "I'll do it!"

Sheng Liang drew his dagger and slashed the man's arm.

Wang Wenzhou nodded. This method is good.

"Quick, stick the bamboo stick into the blood vessel, then bandage it with a cloth strip washed with alcohol. Then give Lanlan a similar treatment. Be careful with the wound, don't make it too big, or it will leave a scar!" Wang Wenzhou said.

Zhang Zongke couldn't stand it any longer. This wasn't Lord Wang saving patients; it was just ridiculous!

Zhang Zongke cupped his hands in greeting and said, "Lord Wang, the wounded have lost too much blood. Whether he wakes up depends on his own fate. The most important thing now is to let him rest well. What you're doing..."

"Get out!" Wang Wenzhou cursed.

“Wang Wenzhou! I know you’re saddened by Miss Sheng’s injuries! Doctor Zhang meant well, but what you’re doing is just fooling around!” Liu Rushi complained.

"Big brother?" Sheng Liang asked Wang Wenzhou.

"What are you waiting for? Hurry up, give Lanlan a cut too, stick this end into Lanlan's vein! This is a blood transfusion, Lanlan has lost too much blood, a blood transfusion is to save her!" Wang Wenzhou said anxiously.

"Hmm!" Sheng Liang nodded, then quickly lifted Sheng Lan's arm and made a cut on her wrist as well.

"Wang Wenzhou! Stop messing around! How can you save someone by doing this? People aren't clay dolls; if one piece is missing, you can just fill it in with mud." Liu Rushi said irritably.

"Sigh..." Wang Wenzhou was too lazy to explain to Liu Rushi. These basic modern medical facts couldn't be explained in a short time.

"Ruru, did you bring your needle and thread?" Wang Wenzhou asked.

"What do you need needle and thread for?" Liu Rushi asked.

"Xiao Liang, quickly find a needle and thread, preferably silk," Wang Wenzhou instructed.

"Mmm!" Sheng Liang quickly ran out.

A moment later, Sheng Liang rushed back, "Big brother, here!"

Wang Wenzhou sterilized the needle and thread in the wine and then handed it to Liu Rushi.

"Go ahead!" Wang Wenzhou said irritably.

"What do you want to do?" Liu Rushi asked.

"Men, all of you, turn the hell around!" Wang Wenzhou cursed.

The crowd was bewildered, but since Lord Wang had given the order, they would obey. Lord Wang had been practically going crazy today because of Miss Sheng's injuries, and they didn't want to displease him.

Wang Wenzhou quickly tore off the strips of cloth covering Sheng Lan's wound.

"Wang Wenzhou! Don't be crazy! Do you even want Miss Sheng to live?" Liu Rushi asked, grabbing Wang Wenzhou's arm.

"What are you doing, making things worse? Hurry up and sew up Lan Lan's wound!" Wang Wenzhou said.

Sheng Lan's wound had been bandaged and had stopped bleeding, but now Wang Wenzhou had torn it open, and fresh blood was flowing out again.

"Dr. Zhang, come quickly and bandage Miss Sheng's wound!" Liu Rushi pulled hard on Wang Wenzhou's arm and said plaintively, "Wang Wenzhou, I know you're heartbroken, but what you're doing isn't saving her, it's harming her!"

Zhang Zongke turned around, picked up the strip of cloth from the ground, and was about to go over and bandage his wound.

"Fuck you!" Wang Wenzhou kicked Zhang Zongke.

"Ouch!" Zhang Zongke plopped down on the ground.

"Lord Wang! The old man wants to save the wounded!" Zhang Zongke said with a wry smile.

"Save your sister! There are so many germs on the ground, what if your wound gets infected! Get the hell out of here!" Wang Wenzhou was a little anxious, and besides, he didn't have time to explain now.

"Xiao Liang! If Liu Ru doesn't stitch up her wound, then you should chop her up!" Wang Wenzhou shouted.

"Hmm!" Sheng Liang drew his dagger and placed it against Liu Rushi's neck.

Sheng Liang's father, Sheng Lei, had always taught him that he must obey his uncle's orders in everything. Sheng Liang kept this in mind, and even though his uncle was now somewhat mentally unstable, he still dared not disobey.

"Xiao Liang, don't go crazy with Wang Wenzhou!" Liu Rushi whispered.

“Mrs. Liu, my aunt has lost too much blood and I’m afraid she can’t be saved! My uncle is so heartbroken that he’s become somewhat delirious. How could I not see that? Let’s just do as he says!” Sheng Liang said calmly.

"Sigh..." Liu Rushi sighed. She was somewhat envious of Sheng Lan. Wang Wenzhou was so deeply in love with Sheng Lan.

"How should the wound be stitched up?" Liu Rushi asked.

"You sew your wound the same way you sew clothes! Do you even know how to do needlework?" Wang Wenzhou mocked.

"Alright! Whatever you say!" Liu Rushi smiled wryly. People aren't clothes; you can't just stitch up a wound and expect it to heal! Wang Wenzhou has truly gone mad!
