Yan San was dressed in a formal military uniform, his upright posture perfectly highlighting the aura of a soldier, his eyes, hidden by his military cap, were fixed on Xi Yu.

Yan San raised the corners of his mouth and said slowly, "The three-month deadline has passed, and the matter of destroying the research institute needs to be reported. Today I must lead the team back to the capital."
Xi Yu frowned in confusion. Could this person have come specifically to report his whereabouts? She had no interest in knowing!
"Oh, have a safe trip," she replied dismissively.
Seeing her impatience, Yan San laughed instead. He suddenly leaned against the wall, his long legs blocking the entrance to the stairs. If Xi Yu wanted to pass, she would have to step over his legs.
